G Series Porsche 911 Carrera Sport For Sale - £69,995
Completely original, UK supplied, C16, 1987 G Series, paint to sample, 911 Carrera Coupe Sport.
Coming to market from an in store owner this Paint To Sample 911 is a rare find, partially in this condition. Specified from new with full black leather sports seats with black piping, both electrically operated and heated, manual 5 speed Getrag G50 transmission, Fuchs alloys, heated rear screen, electric windows and door mirrors, Immobiliser/alarm, space saver wheel, complete tool roll, cigarette lighter, vanity mirrors, top tint windscreen and rear wiper.
First registered on 01/08/1987 and finished in Basalt Black Metallic – a colour that was special order at the time. Unlike most examples this one hasn’t been dressed up and prepared for sale, the only work that has been carried out was a period correct alloy wheel restoration. The car presents so well off the bat that our in house detailer simply removed and took the photos you see here.
Trimmed in Black leather, there is very little wear to be seen inside. The black theme continues with headlining, carpets, and door cards, all in favourable condition showing no damage or excessive ware. The famous five-dial instrument binnacle, with the centrally mounted rev counter, is clear and in fine working order, as are all other ancillaries. The two rear seats fold down as they should, to create a very usable extra stowage area.
Original and correct 16” Fuchs alloys finished in satin black, all present free from kerbing. Tyres are Continental ContiSport Contacts all round, which have ample tread remaining.
This exceptional Carrera Sport was previously owned by an air-cooled Porsche enthusiast, who also worked as a senior master technician for the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team. This example has been extremely well cared for with the correct knowledge and attention given. Supported by an extremely comprehensive service record, which includes original Porsche invoices dating back many years. All handbooks, owner’s wallet, and two sets of keys are present.
In more recent years, this Carrera Sport has been somewhat over-indulged, having been serviced four times in under one thousand miles by Porsche Main Dealers, two of which were Major Services, including plugs being replaced, tappet adjustments, and regular fluid changes. It has also had a recent four-wheel alignment and adjustment, plus other works to keep this cherished classic in the best possible condition.
There are 2 boxes of paperwork with evidence that the car has also been inspected and road tested by RSR Engineering, when Russell (Personal technician to Derek Bell and his son), confirming as suspected that an engine rebuild had been carried out under five thousand miles ago, also detailed in records. This Carrera Sport was last serviced in March 2023 at 114,231 miles.
There is also recent supporting paperwork from centre of gravity who have checked and set the car up – context of which they would be happy to independently verify.
This UK supplied, C16 example drives and handles superbly, with a responsive and free-revving engine. There is no smoke upon start-up or at idle, with crisp and effortless gear changes from the G50 box.
The appreciation this 3.2 Carrera Sport seems to receive is simply remarkable and has all of the correct credentials to become a useable investment over the coming summer months and for many years to come.
