The owner and confessed Jaguar ‘addict’ of this lovely 6.0L XJS Coupe has decided to sell so he can find more time to use his other ‘Big Cats’ (an XKR Convertible and a 4.2 Supercharged Saloon) He would like the car to go to someone who is in a position to drive and enjoy the car, affectionately known as Ruby, more often. There are only a handful of this 6.0 Litre model on the road, this late model known as the facelift version comes with more power, alloy panels and an improved 4-speed transmission with Sport & Economy modes, unlike the older 5.3L V12 that had the sluggish 3-speed gearbox and potentially more rust prone bodywork. Everything works well, the car has been used for weekends away, holidays in Europe and many trips to Le Mans rather than short local excursions where the engine doesn’t have time to warm up properly.
The Car is fitted with Chrome Wire Wheels and it also comes with the original alloy wheels, both sets fitted with good tyres that have only covered a few hundred miles - Also fitted only 18 months ago with is a bespoke Stainless Steel Exhaust mated to a S/S ceramic coated manifold replacing the old iron block manifold - this minimises heat lost and maximises gas flow, improves throttle response without spoiling the legendary cruising comfort. In addition it has a collapsible Jaguar mascot on the bonnet, and a twin headlamp conversion for better lighting, the original headlights are available.
